BATON ROUGE, La. — Guaranty Corporation celebrated its 100th anniversary Jan. 24 at L’Auberge Casino, marking a century of service and community impact with a landmark charitable gift. During the event, the company presented a combined $234,980 to Dreams Come True of Louisiana and The ALS Association, two charitable partners long supported by the Foster family and the corporation.
Guaranty’s relationship with The ALS Association carries personal significance. The Foster family lost Flynn Foster’s sister, Felisha Foster, an accomplished athlete, to ALS. That loss has shaped the company’s commitment to advancing ALS support and research. Guaranty has also maintained a long partnership with Dreams Come True of Louisiana, which grants wishes to children facing life-threatening illnesses.
In December 2024, the Guaranty Foundation pledged $200,000 in honor of the company’s approaching centennial, dedicating $100,000 to each organization. The pledge launched a yearlong effort across Guaranty Corp.’s companies — Guaranty Media, Gatorworks and Guaranty Health Solutions — to raise awareness and encourage community support through GuarantyGives.com. The initiative included sustained on-air campaigns, a dedicated website designed by Gatorworks, office signage and a coordinated social media rollout.
During the centennial celebration, guests viewed a video highlighting the missions of Dreams Come True and The ALS Association and were invited to make final contributions. More than $10,000 was raised that evening, adding a final boost to the total.
“A century in business is meaningful, but the real legacy of Guaranty is the people we’ve served and the partners who’ve stood with us,” said Flynn Foster, president, CEO and chairman of the board of Guaranty Corporation and Guaranty Media. “Dreams Come True and The ALS Association are close to our hearts, and we’re grateful to everyone who contributed. This is what ‘enriching lives and serving others’ looks like.”
Including the foundation’s pledge, private Foster family contributions, employee giving and individual donations, Guaranty Corporation presented each organization with $117,490.
Accepting on behalf of Dreams Come True of Louisiana was Executive Director Becky Prejean. Accepting for The ALS Association was Daniel Mackey, who lives with ALS and shared firsthand the impact of the organization’s work.
