Today, the Louisiana Legislature recognized a milestone that only a handful of companies ever reach. Through a House Concurrent Resolution introduced by Pollock Representative Gabe Firment, Guaranty Corporation was officially commemorated for 100 years of service to the state of Louisiana.
The resolution pays tribute to a story that started in a place about as simple as it gets. Back in 1926, George A. Foster Sr. sat on his front porch in Pollock with an idea: build a company rooted in trust, service, and opportunity for the people of Louisiana. That idea became Guaranty Income Life Insurance Company and Guaranty Corporation, both founded the same year.
A century later, that front porch vision has grown into a company with a footprint across multiple industries. Guaranty Corporation now operates in broadcasting, digital marketing, healthcare marketing, senior living, and real estate, all while keeping its Louisiana identity front and center.
One of its most visible arms, Guaranty Media, has become a staple in Louisiana broadcasting. Its stations, including Eagle 98.1, Talk 107.3, 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge, and 100.7 The Tiger, continue to deliver local news, sports, and entertainment while staying closely connected to the communities they serve.
Beyond radio, the company has expanded its reach nationally through Gatorworks and Guaranty Health Solutions, proving a business born in central Louisiana can compete and lead on a much larger stage.
The Legislature’s resolution also highlights Guaranty Corporation’s ongoing commitment to giving back. From supporting charitable causes and youth programs to stepping up during disaster relief efforts, the company has remained aligned with its mission to enrich lives and serve others.
Leadership has remained in the Foster family for generations, now into its third and fourth, continuing the same principles that started it all. That consistency, paired with the contributions of employees past and present, is a big reason Guaranty is still standing strong 100 years later.
In commemorating this anniversary, the Louisiana Legislature recognized not just a company, but a legacy. One built on resilience, innovation, and a deep connection to the people of Louisiana.
The first century started on a front porch in Pollock. The next one is already set to carry that story forward.
